Manager – International Supply Chain

The International Supply Chain (ISC) team at Wayfair is building a best-in-class digital freight forwarding platform. To support this mission, the Operations Control Tower team provides visibility and data-driven insights necessary to monitor and improve operational performance. We are looking for a strong, analytical Manager to build out and lead the forecasting function within the Control Tower team.

What You'll Do

  • Own the direction of our Forecasting function - Define and build out the central forecasting function, define needs & outputs of our stakeholders, and drive these initiatives to completion with support from data analysts, engineering, and your team.
  • Produce high quality analysis - Produce central demand and supply forecasts and establish the socialization and planning process, including:
    • Inbound demand to support sales planning (all products), ocean capacity procurement and utilization, CFS space planning, etc
    • Supply planning for space allocation management/optimization, capacity prioritization model, ad hoc analyses
    • Departure forecasting to support dray capacity and CG inbound planning
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the ISC leadership team - Form and share your perspectives on how we can improve on a wide variety of topics (e.g., operating model, team culture, cross-department collaboration, transparency, analytics). Help us identify blindspots, surface new opportunities, and remain aware of issues affecting team productivity and/or morale.
  • Interact effectively with internal and external audiences - Hone, articulate, and craft the messaging around the roadmap and outputs. Figure out and refine over time the most effective channels, media, and cadence for each key stakeholder. Produce and coordinate content for senior leadership and department all-hands meetings, creating and shaping strategic communications hands-on. Write weekly forecasting analysis consumed by the whole ISC organization.
  • Develop junior members of the team - Set the learning agenda for your team, identify what resources we should provide, and help develop content when needed. Look for opportunities to scale learning resources across teams. Leverage the expertise of Wayfair’s Learning & Development department.
