Partner Operations drives best-in-class consumer experience by partnering with suppliers to create tailored supply chain solutions, and deliver cost-efficient, perfect orders at scale. Partner Operations is at the forefront of building innovative and scalable supply chain solutions that provide a unique, competitive advantage for Wayfair and unlocks value for our supplier partners. By leveraging our proprietary technology, fulfillment and delivery networks and supply chain services, we reduce costs, increase speed of delivery and ensure a reliable consumer experience. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to help expand this business and solve complex problems across operations, logistics and technology to achieve rapid growth.

Wayfair seeks a self-starting, impact-oriented Inventory Health Strategy and Analytics Manager to join the Inventory Projects team to drive execution of various initiatives that directly support suppliers’ inventory management within CastleGate, Wayfair’s 3rd party logistics offering to our supplier partners.

You will leverage data analysis, strategic thinking, strong execution, and collaboration to drive healthy replenishment and disposition of inventory as a function of age, supply, and demand, remove frictions that create barriers or limit inventory turnover, and unlock opportunities that ensure a positive supplier and end-customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a bias for action coupled with intellectual curiosity and analytical rigor to develop insights, work cross-functionally with a variety of internal partners, support short and long term initiatives to enable step change improvements, and solidify Wayfair’s position as a best-in-class e-commerce platform for suppliers and customers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with internal teams (partner operations, fulfillment center staff, category management, pricing, promotions, merchandising, product/engineering, analytics, etc.) to develop and execute plans that resolve/mitigate inventory health issues, including distressed inventory management, purchasability impacts, over-replenishment, forecasting improvements, and other strategic and tactical levers
  • Mine and analyze raw and curated inventory, pricing, merchandising, and other data from relational databases, dashboards, and other sources or tools to develop insights, identify root causes and trends tied to sub-optimal inventory health, evaluate options that mitigate against those causes, and coordinate action
  • Establish role as subject matter expert on Inventory Health to support vertical supplier facing teams in Partner Operations, Category Management, and CastleGate Operations
  • Lead efforts to ensure suppliers have a frictionless experience when consuming data about inventory health through self-service portals (Partner Home)
  • Execute on additional tasks and projects to support inventory health and availability, as deemed appropriate

What You’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Strong analytics skill set, including expertise with SQL, Google Cloud Platform, or other relational database technologies with proven track record of insight development leading to action
  • High attention to detail with ability to appropriately manage and prioritize projects and tasks appropriately and to influence key partners and stakeholders that leads to results and deliverables on time and within scope
  • Comfort operating with large data sets to identify trends, drill into specific details, make recommendations, and deliver upon desired outcomes
  • Innovative problem-solving skills with a tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment

Nice to Have:

  • 3 or more years of professional experience in inventory management, supply chain management, or 3PL, ideally in an e-commerce order fulfillment environment
