Who we are: North American Retail Technology & Commercial Analytics is focused on leveraging quantitative business analytics, cutting-edge tools and data science techniques, and business process improvements to drive growth across Wayfair. This cross-functional and entrepreneurial team is directly responsible for managing reporting, developing technology solutions, and optimizing processes that enable and empower retail performance for Wayfair. Our goal is to help suppliers grow their business on our sites and to help Wayfair win in the online home space.

At its core, this role will be focused on equipping Category Management with the data and insights they need to drive strategic decision making and impact their categories and Wayfair’s bottom line. This position will require working cross-functionally and globally to uphold best-in-class standards for implementation, while also providing a distinct opportunity to drive high impact initiatives with unique executive-level visibility.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with other analytical teams and product partners to build new reporting tools and maintaining a roadmap for future tools for our global user base, balancing scrappy solutions with scalable products
  • Be the interface between Category Management and internal teams like Algorithms and Analytics, Product, and Business Intelligence, to develop technology, tools and solutions that enhance our core competencies and capabilities
  • Plan and execute the go-to-market strategy for new tools and reporting platforms from timelines, access, training and support through feedback gathering and prioritization of future improvements 
  • Serve as the connective tissue between users and product / tech teams:
    • Engage with users by providing product support, communicating our strategy, socializing feature enhancements and sharing best practices
    • Engage with product and tech teams by escalating bugs, synthesizing user feedback and representing our users interests in prioritization and roadmap discussions 

What You'll Need

  • Advanced Excel and SQL skills; experience with Google data suite is a plus (Looker, Google Big Query, Google Data Studio)
  • A highly entrepreneurial mind-set with an excitement to drive efficiencies through technology and collaborate with engineering, product and business teams
  • Strong communication skills – ability to succinctly summarize technical concepts and tailor your communication style to your audience
  • Ability to drive complex projects to completion using effective project management, communication, and influence; strong ownership of tasks/deadlines/projects
  • Innovative problem-solving skills – ability to dissect and conclude root causes, vet / prioritize potential solutions (near- and long-term) and implement solutions quickly without sacrificing quality
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record in economics, math, statistics, engineering, business or related field is a plus.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
