We’re seeking highly analytical, passionate, and self-motivated individuals to join our Retail Solutions & Enablement team. Our team serves as the internal ambassadors for our supplier-partners, and leverage product management and business partners to execute our strategic vision of offering best-in-class support to an ever-growing supplier base.  As a manager on this team, you will work at the core of our E-commerce business: operating at the intersection between suppliers, support teams, and technology!

As a Project Manager, you will be expected to define overarching goals and initiatives that help us achieve our vision, shape and drive strategic initiatives, problem-solve with business stakeholders and engineering partners alike, articulate and execute against tactical plans. In this role, you will be responsible for driving high-visibility, strategic supplier support projects that directly impact the supplier experience globally for Wayfair’s 20k+ suppliers. You will work with business and product teams to develop process and technology capabilities to enhance the supplier experience through our omni-channel support environment. You will partner with operational teams, product management, and engineering leaders to successfully execute on our team’s vision by managing multiple, highly visible, cross functional projects.

 What You'll Do

  • Partner with cross functional counterparts to identify and implement technology and product improvements projects to enhance our supplier support capabilities
  • Leverage data / user trends to define and pilot innovative solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness of supplier support teams, and improve overall supplier experience (e.g. enabling live chat with suppliers, gathering supplier satisfaction feedback, improved ticket and case management for support teams, etc.)
  • Prepare detailed, long term strategic project plans to define project objectives, key milestones, stakeholder workstreams, and activities
  • Tracking projects and providing regular reports on project status to project teams and key stakeholders to ensure successful, on time delivery
  • Identify, measure and track core product and business levers: size opportunities for improvement, identify potential opportunities or problems, and propose creative solutions 
  • Create and deliver accurate, high-quality, well articulated problem statements for product management teams to address operational and strategic needs, and provide forward-looking insights and recommendations
  • Determine the best approach to accomplish project goals and own execution with limited direction
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement activities, partnering with multiple teams (product management, business operations, support teams, etc.)

 

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in fast moving, technology-oriented environments (e.g. consulting, project management, operations, customer service, vendor service) 
  • Success leading cross functional projects and the ability to influence and lead without direct management authority
  • An ability to manage and prioritize projects, and to delegate tasks appropriately
  • Innovative problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect and determine root causes of problems, then implement solutions
  • A track record of taking on big challenges and delivering results despite obstacles and limited resources
  • Experience working with product management and software development teams
  • Articulate and persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal
  • An ability to hit the ground running as a confident, entrepreneurial self-starter
  • Experience driving long term strategy from ideation to implementation

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tech-savvy and experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Strong data-driven decision-making and quantitative analysis skills
  • Comfortable working in a diverse group and contributing to an inclusive culture
  • PMP certified or equivalent project/program management certification is a plus
