E-Commerce Finance Operations Associate -- Winter 2022 Start Date (Recent 2021 + 2022 Grads Only)

Wayfair is seeking data-oriented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated candidates for full time positions within our North American Retail business. E-Commerce Strategy Associates will have the opportunity to gain experience in core functional areas at the center of our online customer experience and contribute directly to the growth and success of the company. As an E-Commerce Strategy Associate, you’ll join our teams that are driving Wayfair’s best-in-class online customer experience. You’ll be responsible for owning and maintaining Wayfair’s vast e-commerce catalog, executing strategy for product categories and managing supplier relationships, and continually improving the customer’s on-site shopping experience.

Supplier Finance

The Supplier Finance Desk is a part of the Supplier Financial Operations organization that supports Wayfair’s suppliers in doing business with us through a) the sale of products and/or b) in participating in supplier-facing business lines. These business lines include our logistics network (international supply chain and, fulfillment and distribution) and numerous advertising programs. Wayfair’s more than 16,000 suppliers do in excess of $10 billion in annual sales of products and our supplier-facing business lines generate more than $1 billion in annual revenues. Our goal is to provide our stakeholders and suppliers with the best and fastest financial services possible through 1) visibility into accurate financial information; 2) standardization of financial processes throughout Wayfair; 3) technological process improvements; and 4) holistic decision making, grounded in mutually beneficial revenue-generating opportunities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze data, trends, and use resources to improve the quality of our product catalog in order to increase customer satisfaction, trust, and site conversion rates; researching categories and vendors to build out selection
  • Create cross-functional partnerships to advance your category through merchandising, promotions, marketing, on-trend product selection, effective pricing and profitability, and operational excellence
  • Build key supplier relationships to enable successful negotiations and push towards a best-in-class customer experience
  • Leverage data to analyze the competitive environment, report on performance trends, and develop business cases for strategic initiatives
  • Ensuring our suppliers and international supply chain customers receive answers to their questions or concerns in a friendly, timely, and accurate manner
  • Educating and guiding suppliers and ISC customers from a finance lens throughout their partnership with Wayfair, from onboarding through scaling, as well as participation in external-facing business lines
  • Working with the members of the Supplier Financial Operations teams to enable them to perform analyses required to address supplies and international supply chain customers questions, concerns, and disputes
  • Manage communication with internal and external stakeholders

 What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Data and process-oriented, comfortable learning data analysis tools
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A desire to win and steer collaboration cross functionally
  • Passionate about the customer with an interest in understanding and driving user behavior
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive as part of a team or individually
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and mindset
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience in Excel or SQL is a plus
