Who we are

Partner Enablement is responsible for enabling cross-functional partners across CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) and Wayfair to successfully manage relationships with CGF’s freight forwarding customers. CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) is a rapidly growing freight forwarding start-up within Wayfair, moving containers across the globe to Wayfair’s shelves and elsewhere. 

The role

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team and play an instrumental role in building it to suit the needs of CastleGate’s rapidly growing freight forwarding capabilities. At a high level, the Enablement Manager will be responsible for working with multiple stakeholder teams including Sales (5+ people), Key Account Management (10+), Partner Operations (150+), and Category Management (150+) to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and resources to drive successful performance from CGF customers. They will primarily accomplish this through building strong cross functional relationships, standing-up an internal training program, and providing internal subject matter expertise on CGF services. This role will require cross-functional stakeholder management, innovation, and quantitative analytical skill.

What you’ll do

  • Develop a cross-functional training curriculum that teaches internal stakeholders about the CGF value proposition, how CGF freight forwarding services work, and what resources are available to have informed discussions with suppliers under their management. 
    • Conduct monthly “continuing education” training sessions in-person for the groups mentioned above
    • Work with Wayfair’s Learning & Development team to create a video training series on CGF operations and supplier success
  • Gather market intelligence from CGF operations teams and Competitive Intelligence to summarize and publish market updates to internal stakeholders
  • Work with Marketing and Competitive Intelligence to develop customer facing market updates 
  • Build and maintain FAQ resources to enable internal account management and frontline customer service teams to field questions about CGF’s capabilities 
  • Overhaul and maintain internal InfoHub wiki pages that include internal resources (like the FAQ document and recent market updates) that are easily accessible for internal stakeholders
  • Develop supplier success campaigns in partnership with NA Sales & Service analytics to drive operational improvements with CGF customers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, operations management, logistics, supply chain, consulting, or entrepreneurial setting
  • Experience in a highly cross functional environment strongly preferred
  • 1+ year of people management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to craft and deliver clear narratives on work plans
  • Experience in building and executing internal training or enablement programs preferred
  • Demonstrated record of taking ownership and responsibility for driving successful results
  • Ability to define scope and build out a clear work plan to investigate and solve ambiguous problems
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders with competing priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and the skills to prioritize ruthlessly 
  • Experience working with, analyzing, synthesizing, and presenting data with clarity and recommended actions
