As part of our ambitious expansion plans, we are seeking a Partner Operations Manager to support the growing needs of our Asia Partners Solutions team.  As Wayfair’s primary supplier facing operations team, we drive high value engagement within Wayfair’s ever growing supplier base and this team is focused on Wayfair's supplier partners who are based in Asia.  The Partner Operations team acts as a chief advisor to our suppliers to drive forecast alignment, demand planning, inventory allocation, and fulfillment strategies.  We do this through strategic account management and a structured sales environment. We create specific solutions for our supplier portfolio with the goal of launching and scaling their business in new Wayfair geographies. What You'll Do

  • Work effectively in a high performing, dynamic team: Collaborate with a team that work closely with executive leaders of our supplier partners and executes on category specific strategies in the context of rapid growth
  • Enable an unparalleled assortment: Work with category management to build a comprehensive plan that allows us to multiply our assortment
  • Ensure product availability at competitive cost: Work with suppliers to ensure they commit products to Wayfair and ensure they are correctly forward-positioned to meet the demand in our different geographical markets
  • Craft category specific supply chain solution: Build strategy and understand unit economics of your category; partner with the operations team to optimize cost and speed of delivery, reduce damages, and unlock strategies that generate a game-changing competitive advantage and enduring customer satisfaction
  • Empower suppliers to make the right trade off decisions: Enable suppliers to navigate Wayfair supply chain capabilities (our service offering) vs. building out and improving their own capabilities that meet the expectations of the demanding online customer
  • Negotiate with existing suppliers to optimize performance: Improve fulfilment, availability, logistics or system-related performance while at the portfolio level also enabling step change improvements in performance
  • Manage supplier stakeholders: Build long-term relationships with and be a single point of contact for suppliers prioritizing stakeholder requests and leveraging supplier knowledge to drive functional initiatives.
  • Enable a diverse set of internal stakeholders: Execute a cohesive strategic plan in a matrix organization with ownership divided across specialized team which requires understanding, influencing, and motivating many different teams and individuals
  • Assess performance and adapt strategy: Frequently deep dive into the performance of your category to understand what is and what is not working. Wayfair works fast and needs managers who utilizes data to drive action and bring confidence to stakeholders that the team is focusing on the right priorities and areas of the business


What You'll Need

  • Over 4 years relevant experience, for instance in management consulting or similar industries and/or e-commerce; familiarity with supply chain operations, logistics, or home-related industries is a plus
  • Full professional proficiency in both Mandarin and English
  • Ability to thrive in a high growth, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environment
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Ability to develop, articulate, and execute strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to define, scope, and execute a plan to achieve objectives in the short to medium term
  • Ability to pivot priorities as data-led insights evolve
  • Advanced experience with SQL, Data Studio, Looker, GBQ, or Excel a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and work well within a dynamic organization
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with senior supplier stakeholders
  • Comfort in technology-driven business environment
  • Collaborative working style and ability to develop and coach people
