 Physical Retail Operations - Product Flow Manager

Wayfair’s Physical Retail team is seeking a Product Flow Manager to manage the end-to-end physical retail product flow.  Working with Inventory Planning, Network Management, Engineering, FC and Store Operations, this role ensures product is in the right place at the right time.  The Product Flow Manager troubleshoots issues as they arise and supports the FCs and Physical Stores, as required.  The ideal candidate has hands-on operational experience, and is creative and resourceful.  They also have experience managing stakeholders with different agendas.  

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Establish and maintain all aspects of product flow process documentation such that it conveys an easily consumable storyline. Help define the Operational processes, dashboards and reports required to support this product flow.
  • Drive effective collaboration and consensus across large project teams composed of resources with varying experience levels
  • Provide clear communication to stakeholders across all levels, departments, and skill sets.
  • Identify issues, proactively seek solutions and gain consensus, as necessary.
  • Leverage your previous experience to understand our current environment and challenge our normal to expose unseen opportunities.
  • Analyze inventory, order and/or process data in order to understand the impact of product flow issues, correctly size the problem or opportunity and help to prioritize any changes or opportunities
  • Support development of the business cases required to facilitate the ideal processes
  • Spend time with teams across the organisation, especially front-line teams, to gain a deep hands-on understanding of existing processes

Skills & Experience:

  • At least 5+ years of strong operations management experience, managing large cross-functional teams in a retail or supply chain environment
  • Self-driven motivation with a bias towards action; identifying opportunities and managing them through resolution
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical individuals and proven track record of influence at various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to compartmentalize and context switch on the fly with changes that you can and cannot control.
