Project Manager - EU Returns Monetization (Analyst)

To achieve this, we have defined returns as a cross-functional priority area which is led centrally, owning the returns P&L end to end, covering a wide area of Wayfair’s business such as our return-related customer policies, supplier collaboration models, services, and the reverse logistics and monetization strategy.

 

What You'll Do

  • Shape and drive the returns recovery business, and with this one of our profitability pillars, for the upcoming years
  • Design and deliver operational and financial KPIs to drive new initiatives with a multi million business impact and deliver on known and unknown areas of opportunity and growth in returns recovery
  • Collaborate cross functionally with our European warehouse, logistics, finance, and analytics organizations and global tech partners to scope, manage and deliver a range of operational change and improvement projects
  • Collaborate internationally with our US-based headquarters and teams to drive global alignment of all projects, leverage learnings and synergies
  • Develop, own and deliver on strategic and operational projects that will shape and maximize our returns recovery in EU markets
  • Drive effective financial and operational performance management
  • Cultivate effective relationships within Wayfair operational leadership and senior business partners across the organisation
  • Contribute to making Wayfair an environmentally sustainable company
  • Prepare us for growth by developing and building returns recovery solutions for our future markets
  • Establish a highly motivational working environment in which employees are challenged and provided with career and personal development opportunities

What You'll Need

  • Relevant experience (4+ years), for instance in management consulting or similar industries and/or e-commerce; familiarity with supply chain operations, logistics, or home-related industries is a plus 
  • Analytical mindset and skills; experience in GBQ or SQL are required
  • Ability to thrive in a high growth, entrepreneurial, and ambiguous environment
  • A desire to work in and improve upon a fast-paced technology-driven business environment
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • An open personality and confidence to work with senior business partners
  • Ability to pivot priorities as data-led insights evolve
  • Strong project management experience
  • Full professional proficiency in English
