Reporting to the European Implementation Project Manager and based in our Fulfilment Centre in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, the Project Manager will be responsible for: Large and small warehouse build-out projects (client side), existing warehouse installations (client and principal contractor) whilst leading a small team of Assistant Project Managers ensuring that projects are completed safely, within an agreed timeframe and budget. 

What You'll Do:

  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, change, budgets and expenditures
  • Undertaking project tasks as required Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder & workstream meetings
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings Working within a developing framework and developing best practice 
  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings 
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met 
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project 
  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution Working closely with global internal teams to ensure project execution alignment 
  • Deal with any unexpected problems that may occur during the course of a project 
  • Responsible for identifying emerging risks and issues, problems or variance to the agreed project objectives, plan, budget and scope Liaise with designers, contractors and suppliers for the duration of a project 
  • Ensure that all risks are effectively managed and escalated where appropriate 
  • Take account of the health and safety risks to everyone affected by the works relating to the projects and take a role in actively planning and managing the measures needed to control them

What You'll Need:

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team 
  • Ability to identify critical paths and execute in a dynamic, fast-paced organization 
  • Ability to manage change at short notice work to tight deadlines 
  • Ability to effectively communicating with project teams, business partners and senior management both local and remote 
  • Detail oriented, with good organizational skills, results oriented and proactive. 
  • Good written, visual, and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills. 
  • Proficient with MS Project or equivalent 
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures. 
  • College/University or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject with hands on construction project management experience within in a CDM environment
  • Ability to identify critical paths and execute in a dynamic, fast-paced organisation 
  • Client-side project experience IOSH accredited CDM 2015 or safety management training (desirable)
  • Warehousing systems experience Valid CITB SMSTS certificate (desirable)
