The Senior Embed Project Manager is primarily responsible for planning, executing and handing off large, complex, cross-functional projects; that support Wayfair’s 3000+ member Customer Service Organization spanning multiple on premise and virtual sites. We support complex initiatives, in a fast-paced environment, that have an immediate impact on critical business decisions within a rapidly growing organization.

What You'll Do

Lead the evolution of multiple highly visible complex projects from scoping through delivery.

Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope.

Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

Perform risk management and proactively anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and communicate tradeoffs across diverse groups to optimize intended project outcome.

Report and escalate to management as necessary.

Establish and maintain all aspects of project documentation such that it conveys an easily consumable storyline.

Measure project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals using appropriate tools and techniques.

Drive effective collaboration and consensus across large project teams composed of resources with varying experience levels.

Provide clear project communication to stakeholders across all levels, departments, and skill sets.

Leverage your previous experience to understand our current environment and challenge our norms to expose unseen opportunities.

Delegate project tasks based on junior team members' strengths, skill sets and experience levels

Be a go-to leader for the team; mentoring teammates, sharing best practices, and driving process improvement for team operations.
What You'll Need
-
At least 6 years of strong project management experience, managing large cross-functional teams. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

A thorough understanding of project methodology and how to apply it to real world situations.

Self-driven motivation with a bias towards action; identifying opportunities and managing them through resolution

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical individuals and proven track record of influence at various levels of the organization.

Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships across the organization.

Flexible, Adaptable and Agile; Must be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
