Senior Analyst, Exclusive Brand Management - Exclusive Brand Analytics:  

 

Exclusive Brand Analytics is at the center of strategic decision making for our Exclusive Brand initiative, one of Wayfair’s largest and most dynamic initiatives for value creation.  We are looking for a senior analyst to uncover key insights and help leadership achieve the Exclusive Brand vision.

 

This role will be responsible for analyzing Exclusive Brand performance and generating insights on where the strategy is working and where it can improve.  This involves accurately measuring brand performance, identifying key drivers, mapping opportunity areas and making recommendations.  Given the dynamic nature of the Exclusive Brand strategy, this role will be depended on to identify new areas for analysis and insight generation for leadership.  This role will also involve significant collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders, and regular exposure to leadership to surface key findings.

 

The most successful analysts are proactive, resourceful, detail-oriented and curious.  They are willing to engage with a wide variety of issues as thought partners, lending their expertise and creativity in crafting a solution, making recommendations and executing.  They seek to hone their analysis into actionable insights, directing leadership and peers to take what they feel to be the most accretive actions.  They also source new ideas for insight generation, proactively seeking ways to expand leaderships’ understanding of the Exclusive Brand value proposition and how to maximize it.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Generate data-driven, strategic insights on the Exclusive Brand strategy.  Hone deliverables into specific recommendations for leadership and stakeholders on ideal follow-ups pursuant to departmental and company goals
  • Act as a thought-partner with cross-functional stakeholders, scoping ambiguous problems into practical, value-added solutions
  • Clearly communicate insights and opportunities to a wide audience of varying technical expertise, including Senior Leadership and partners in Merchandising, Data Solutions, Competitive Intelligence, and Profit Management 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, aligning on plans for mutual work and sourcing impactful solutions to problems
  • Mentor departmental team members on analytics best practices, technical skills, and on evolutions in our company’s data architecture

 

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, statistics, math, engineering, or other technically-rigorous field, with a strong academic record
  • 3+ years of business experience, preferably in analytics, finance, consulting, or other data-heavy roles 
  • Expertise in SQL, Python, PowerBI, Tableau, Google Big Query, Excel, and proficiency in data visualization
  • Experience delivering clear, accurate, evidence-based insights to a wide audience
  • A proactive problem-solver and process-improver, able to manage and prioritize multiple on-going projects and pivot nimbly to accommodate changing strategies 
  • Familiarity or interest in e-commerce, retail, customer analytics and marketing KPIs a plus
