Wayfair is currently seeking an Senior Financial Analyst within Strategic Corporate Finance (“SCF”). The goal of the SCF team is to provide business managers with actionable insights and visibility into key business trends through accurate and timely data to support the business in achieving and maintaining positive free cash flow, in allocating capital productively, and in coordinating planning across the organization.


This role will be on the Gross Profit Reporting and Analysis team within SCF and will be instrumental in strengthening Wayfair’s profitable growth by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending actions to management. This person will work cross-functionally to ensure that Wayfair maintains accurate and efficient system health and improves operational processes and technology. The Senior Financial Analyst must be self-motivated, hard-working, and organized.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor profitability metrics (e.g., credit, allowance, shipping) to improve accounting accuracy, analyze results, and identify opportunities to improve our systems & data
• Develop insights into key cost drivers to influence Wayfair’s pricing choices
• Research opportunities to fix financial systems deficiencies that improve reporting accuracy / visibility and expand GMs, and use data to identify actionable business recommendations
• Develop and execute financial systems process improvement plans by partnering with various stakeholders across the business
• Use financial systems expertise to collaborate on strategic initiatives that drive profitable growth opportunities

Qualifications:


• 2+ years of experience in a data/consulting role with experience analyzing data
• A degree in Finance / Economics, Mathematics / Statistics, Computer Science or other concentrations with heavy quantitative focus strongly preferred
• Experience working with large datasets and resourcefulness in obtaining data when clean and or complete information is not available
• Strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to effectively convey insights from analyses to senior managers
• Ability to drive complex projects to completion using effective project management, communication, and influence; strong ownership of tasks/deadlines/projects
• High proficiency in MS Excel and Office; SQL or other programming languages a plus
