Who We Are

Wayfair is seeking a self-motivated and results-oriented individual to join our Business Development - Premium Brands Team. 

Luxury Brands Business Development Team is responsible for identifying suppliers that are the right fit for our quality-curated luxury home goods offering. You will analyze the competitive landscape to identify key suppliers, conduct negotiations and build strong relationships, convince them to work with us and onboard them to our platform. The role provides a mix of sales, business analysis, strategy design and implementation. In addition, you will make decisions on the most appropriate tools and levers required to onboard committed suppliers and set them up for success at Wayfair Premium Brands.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and pitch new Luxury Brands suppliers that will have a meaningful impact on Wayfair growth and our customer value proposition
  • Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with new suppliers to gain their trust, buy-in, and respect
  • Negotiate for favorable terms with suppliers (selection, price, and quantity)
  • Partner with internal cross-functional teams to improve the supplier onboarding process, remove roadblocks, and ensure that suppliers have the support they need for a seamless launch and smooth transition
  • Together with Category Management Team, you will conduct competitive and product category analysis to identify and prioritize selection gaps and expand Luxury Brands selection across product categories

 

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in ecommerce, sales, business development, procurement or buying;
  • Fluency in French and English. German and/or Spanish is a plus
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on commercial experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated success in building business relationships with C-level external and internal stakeholders and in leading successful commercial and contractual negotiations
  • Proven track record of constantly reaching and outperforming targets
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
  • Proven ability to thrive as part of a team and individually
  • Familiarity with Excel, SQL and Google Suite
