Wayfair’s Exclusive Brands team is responsible for launching Flagship Brands, which are the homes for Wayfair’s best selling exclusive products. We are looking to hire a Merchant to help drive this initiative. The house brands we’re developing will combine Wayfair’s highly practical & deeply analytic DNA with inspirational photography and merchandising best practices learned from our lifestyle brand initiatives—to further differentiate Wayfair from our competitors.

In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to the growth of our brands. Daily responsibilities include overseeing the business of key categories, conducting product merchandising sprints, curating new product intros, category deep-dives in order to manage the assortment plan for their respective categories, and aligning with internal teams such as Commercial Programs and Brand Management teams. This role provides significant exposure to one of Wayfair’s strategic initiatives.

The most successful Exclusive Brands Associates are those who are driven, tenacious, outgoing, and have an equal passion for both business and process. Associates in Exclusive Brands must be expert multi-taskers, have an acute focus on detail and eye for style, and manage their workload in a highly-organized way. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage categories assortment across the exclusive brands portfolio
  • Develop and drive a strategic merchandising plan for your category
  • Curate house brands, conduct business analyses, contribute to site merchandising initiatives
  • Align product selections with Brand team for upcoming promotions/offers
  • Supporting management and development of Wayfair’s Exclusive Brands
  • Forge and expand strong internal relationships
  • Develop and maintain industry knowledge; stay on top of category and market trends
