The Real Estate team at Wayfair is responsible for delivering the physical footprint to support the company’s growth. As of year-end 2020, Wayfair has approximately 82 locations and more than 20 million square feet under contract around the world including: our headquarters locations in Boston and Berlin, fulfillment centers, final mile facilities, and customer service locations across North America and Europe. As a part of our ongoing expansion, Wayfair’s Real Estate team is seeking an analytical and inquisitive Senior Associate to join its Industrial Real Estate platform. 

The Senior Associate role is an exciting opportunity to work with cross-functional business partners to execute real estate strategies that support Wayfair’s expansion of its physical logistics footprint - including market/site analytics, presentations to senior stakeholders, transaction due diligence, assisting with lease negotiation and execution, and ongoing portfolio management. We are seeking a motivated team player who can further expand our internal real estate capabilities to ensure that our logistics real estate portfolio continues to be a major contributor to the success of Wayfair’s operations.

A successful candidate will excel in both quantitative and qualitative analysis, be detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be inherently curious and self-driven. As a central member of the team, you will provide financial analysis and modeling along with thought partnership to the team's leadership to make better operational decisions in several of our most important strategic initiatives. The role will be based at Wayfair’s Boston headquarters.

What You’ll Do:

Provide analytical support for transaction managers (gathering market data, deal analyses, preparing deal approval packages)

  • Coordinate administrative transaction tasks to drive efficiency, consistency, and completeness
  • Support team with ad hoc requests
  • Provide analytical support to cross-functional projects and processes to improve overall performance and documentation  
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to reinforce all Real Estate team efforts 

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2+ years of experience working in a quantitative-driven field such as consulting, finance or real estate
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to tackle several projects simultaneously and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced, and growing organization
  • Self-starter and organized with keen attention to detail
  • Positive, people-oriented, and energetic attitude
  • Critical thinker who is flexible and open to change
  • Strong quantitative skills, comfortable navigating a data-driven business environment
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint, or similar Google-based applications
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders
