Senior Editorial Copy Manager

Who We Are
Wayfair is home to one of the retail industry’s largest in-house creative agencies. The Creative Group is a world-class team comprised of many disciplines – designers, copywriters, editors, stylists, cinematographers, directors, and more. Our work fuels all forms of on-site and off-site marketing and communication with our consumers, from TV to online video to social, email, direct mail, and more.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage, lead, and inspire a small team of copywriters.
  • Drive copy and editorial strategy for omni-channel brand campaigns, creating editorial that inspires the consumer and is tightly integrated across all touchpoints.
  • Oversee, edit, and write copy for all touchpoints – promotional campaigns to editorial site content, email marketing to Instagram stories, and beyond.
  • Help develop and evolve the brand’s voice standards and messaging strategy to drive consistency and evolution. We are on a mission to become an even stronger, stickier brand with ever-increasing brand affinity. Our words and content are one important part of the puzzle to get us there, and that will be your challenge.
  • Work in tandem with design leads to guide and inspire the team as well as elevate the brand. Push on each other to move the brand forward, identify efficiencies, and create a rock-solid, holistic creative strategy that spans across channels and ladders up to business goals.
  • Live in lockstep with your cross-functional partners. You’ll be responsible for maintaining seamless communication, understanding and influencing their priorities and goals, and effectively translating creative strategy when required.
  • Do all of the above in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are daily and the volume of work is high. Pace should thrill you, not derail you.

What You’ll Need:

  • 8+ years relevant experience in multi-channel content creation for a retail audience (either in-house or at an agency), or shelter publication (digital or print) with an understanding of marketing principles
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Proven experience leading and developing a team of writers
  • Ability to execute, as well as see the big picture and think in a strategic, conceptual way
  • Art direction experience and a passion for writing copy for home decor is a major plus
