About Supply Chain Integration: 

Supply Chain Integration (SCI) is Wayfair’s core business team that facilitates connectivity between Wayfair and key partners (suppliers, 3rd party software providers, etc.). As part of SCI, the Integration Management (IM) team sits at the cross-section of operations and technology, consulting Wayfair’s suppliers on transformational system improvements that result in automation across the customer order-to-delivery cycle. Mutually beneficial to Wayfair, suppliers, and customers, these improvements enable more efficient fulfillment, improved communication, increased visibility into the supply chain, and much more.

About the Role:

Wayfair is seeking a talented and driven leader to build strategy and execute against a vertical roadmap designed to improve supplier dropship performance through the adoption of best in class technology (ERP, OMS, WMS, etc). You will be responsible for setting ambitious goals to improve key enablement metrics across your vertical, and working directly with suppliers within 2-3 key categories to drive improvements to how those supplier’s leverage technology.

The ideal candidate is an energetic team player who understands how to effectively drive results in a fast-paced and rapidly growing company.  Strong analytical skills are required to analyze performance and efficacy of solutions. Due to the cross-functional nature of this position and high visibility with senior leadership, effective communication, leadership, and senior presence are highly valued.  Additionally, structured prioritization and creative problem solving skills are both essential.

What you will do:

  • Lead a vertical consisting of 5-7 categories for Supplier Systems (1-3 direct reports)
  • Formulate strategy and drive adoption of scalable technology solutions to enable fast, efficient, and reliable fulfillment operations today and in the future, through consultation with suppliers and cross-functional teams
  • Lead and support supplier meetings as a subject matter expert to educate, influence, and drive supplier action
  • Effectively prioritize a large number of opportunities to drive impact to your target categories, demonstrating and articulating an understanding of how the work impacts broader operations KPIs and the business as a whole
  • Partner closely with teams across Wayfair, including transportation, data integration, warehousing, inventory planning, engineering, and others to coordinate cross functional projects
  • Analyze key performance metrics to drive change and root cause issues, with an ability to influence suppliers and cross-functional teams effectively
  • Regularly communicate with and present to senior leadership
  • 25-50% travel to Wayfair and supplier warehouses to view operations/speak to suppliers first hand (not currently traveling due to Covid-19)
  • Drive supplier adoption of automated, scalable technology solutions to enable fast, efficient, and reliable operations today and in the future

What you will need

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • MBA, 1+ years post-MBA experience OR 7+ years equivalent experience 
  • Creative problem solving: ability to think both creatively and critically. Willing to think outside the box and challenge the status quo, while also fairly evaluating all possible solutions in making strategic decisions
  • Good judgement: Ability to manage through ambiguous and subjective situations, including balancing efficiency and data analysis with high quality standards and a sense of what is “right” for the customer
  • Senior presence: Ability to clearly and consistently work side-by-side across functions and departments synthesizing multiple points of view into a coherent action plan
  • Analytical: Process-oriented, comfortable working with large data sets and making data-driven decisions
  • Team player: Willingness and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
