The Wayfair Advertising team builds, manages, and sells advertising placements on Wayfair.com, including traditional display and sponsored product listings, while also powering off-site reach via co-marketing audience extension, catalog, TV, social, and other programs. Additionally, we offer sponsorships to enable indirect partners and non-suppliers to connect with the Wayfair audience. Our mission is to provide a full funnel advertising offering that allows suppliers and other relevant advertisers to reach shoppers at the right time, with the right message -- delivering value for our customers, advertisers, and Wayfair.

What You’ll Do

The Advertising Business Operations team aims to support the Advertising business scale and operate efficiently through centralized functions such as, planning and forecasting, technology & tools, process optimization, and launching new business initiatives. As the Senior Manager of Sales Operations, you will lead a team that works cross-functionally across the business to ensure that systems, resources, reporting, and processes allow the sales organization to perform effectively and efficiently ultimately improving sales results and increasing revenue.  

Key Responsibilities: 

    • Build a strong infrastructure for the advertising sales organization which will be critical to achieving our continued growth targets. You’ll ensure that our systems, resources, and processes are optimized enabling our sales team to be successful. 
    • Partner with the Head of Sales to develop and manage the implementation and execution of the advertising sales methodology and strategy. Ensure all aspects of the advertising sales program are clearly defined, process / plans are developed and executed seamlessly, and advise on necessary improvements.
    • Owns and develops the longer term roadmap for sales enablement technology and leads adoption and customization of all sales enablement tools.
    • Measures, evaluates, and reports out on sales data to relevant stakeholders; partners with Analytics and Product to ensure the sales team has the right information to do their jobs effectively 
    • Owns the Advertising forecasting process, high level planning and goal setting (top down, bottoms up & sales goals by individual) and organizational planning to hit forecast targets. 
    • Ensures the financial elements of the Advertising business operate smoothly; manages inbound partners with various teams to ensure our suppliers can leverage our payment methods seamlessly and timely.  

What You’ll Need: 

  • 7+ years of e-commerce, corporate retail, sales operations, or management consulting experience preferred
  • An ownership mindset with the ability to streamline processes and thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment with a “get stuff done” attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence senior-level and cross-functional stakeholders 
  • Ability to communicate effectively to senior leadership; exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills that can be tailored to a variety of internal partner
  • Superb project management skills including the ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Collaborative team player who wants to see the whole team succeed and thrive
  • Proven ability to evaluate needs of multiple stakeholders and make decisions as to which initiatives are (and are not) critical to the business.
