Intro

Wayfair has one of Europe’s largest online selection of furniture, home furnishings, décor and goods including more than 1.8 million products from over 3,500 suppliers across all countries in Europe and is consistently increasing. With such an extensive network and its dynamic growth, our logistics team is ensuring a smooth, fast and reliable delivery service across multiple countries for a large variety of products. Currently, our logistics team is embarking on a strategic initiative to further grow, optimize and reinvent the network through more intelligent network routing, leverage of own infrastructure and staff, carrier selection and freight consolidation.

What You'll Do

  • You will support the performance and growth of our network operating from suppliers across Europe and to customers in our demand regions, managing speed, quality and total cost of ownership
  • You will identify and prioritize network use cases for collaboration with internal analytical teams to develop models, simulate scenarios, and extract business recommendations. You will then drive execution to capture value.
  • You will support regular performance management processes to ensure day-to-day operations are aligned with business objectives
  • You will provide ad-hoc support to stakeholders
  • You will manage, develop and further grow your team

What You'll Need

  • A Bachelor Degree and 3+ years of experience preferably (but not necessarily limited to)  online retail, or supply chain 
  • Significant experience in operational and supply chain/transportation expertise
  • Familiarity with network optimization 
  • Track record of driving and delivering large and complex projects from inception to completion
  • Experience in developing relationships with stakeholders, working collaboratively and leveraging influence to drive multi-departmental projects and ongoing operations
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work well in a fast paced company
  • An inclination to use data to answer questions, frame conversations, and drive impact/ behavior change
  • Fluency in English
  • Established skills in SQL/ BigQuery (Google Cloud Platform) to perform in depth analysis and steer business thinking  towards achieving the most optimal outcome for structural problems 
    • Basic to Proficient knowledge ofSQL (incl. aggregate functions, joins, etc. Experience with Google BigQuery is a plus). 
    • Advanced Excel User
    • Other structured programming languages (Python, R) a plus
