Senior Manager | EU Create

The Create Standards team leverages a creative approach and quantitative skills to answer high-level business and strategy questions through designing journeys to enable us to provide the highest level of care to create the best possible customer experience. This team is highly cross-functional and highly visible to senior leadership, solving the most complex problems from any part of the operations. The Create Standards team is an internal team that acts as a lighthouse for the wider business,  that seeks to make improvements by shining the light on the  true customer experience, learning from the good and the bad and driving change through  people allocation, processes, and technology. The team is cross-functional in their approach, working with teams such as R&D, Transportation & Logistics, Warehouse Operations & Inventory Positioning, etc. in order to drive impactful change that benefits the customer.

We are seeking an analytical, entrepreneurial, and action-oriented candidate as part of our Business Analytical team who will play a critical role in Wayfair's growth strategy and competitive positioning by leveraging data-driven analyses and innovative approaches to drive results. The analyst will support the team with generating insights, assisting the business to understand the data, creating reports, supporting teams to tie the process and data to make efficient decisions.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Act as a thought partner to create a unique and positive customer experience and service. 
  • Develop Create’s strategy in collaboration with other leads for marketplace expansion into larger European markets. Be the end to end owner of the marketplace expansion workstream 
  • Work cross functionally with counterparts in Service and cross functional teams (Supply Chain, Ops Services, Finance, Legal) to enable smooth marketplace expansion into new markets. 
  • Understand current processes/workflows. Identify how current processes/workflows impact on key KPIs. Define future process/workflows which will support desired improvements
  • Translate high-level business problems into more specific questions that can be answered through hypothesis based data analyses; leverage analytical findings to identify actionable business recommendations
  • Understand various dependencies and nuances with multiple large and complex processes and identify a structured way to call out those to our product partners to act on them 
  • Work with program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department
  • Collaborate closely with Senior Leadership in Service to define a thoughtful long term roadmap to drive towards customer and agent satisfaction as well as scalability to 5-10X the revenue over the next 5 years +. 
  • Manage program and project teams for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholder. 

What You’ll Need:

  • Meaningful Leadership experience (4 Years+) – proven ability to lead and innovate in a fast paced and dynamic environment, comfortable managing through ambiguity and has demonstrated experience owning projects E2E. 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Economics, Management or other quantitative discipline field with strong academic record.
  • Six sigma or PMP certifications a good to have 
  • A strong focus on quantitative & analytical work - demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights; merging both qualitative and quantitative insights into clean narrative
  • Outstanding communication & persuasion skills to interact successfully with our many cross-functional teams, suppliers and stakeholders. 
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Energized by your task – not scared of a challenge and always looking to take on more
  • Strong track record of Achievement
  • Excellent team building - the ability to rally a team around a vision and deliver results with agility. 
  • Possess an affinity for data, and resourcefulness in obtaining data when clean and or complete information is not available.
  • Experience with complex operational, process, and performance improvement projects
  • Technologically savvy, collaborative confident leader, familiarity with google suite products a plus.
