We are seeking individuals to help lead the expansion of Wayfair’s North American fulfillment & home delivery footprint.  The ideal candidate is an energetic team player who understands how to effectively drive results in a fast-paced and rapidly growing company. This candidate must also have an interest in innovating to solve business problems creatively and a willingness to immediately tackle key challenges. A willingness to travel and tackle the unknown is highly desirable.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide leadership and technical program management support to a large cross functional team, to ensure the successful definition, planning, and implementation of large scale fulfillment operations. 
  • Work directly with project management support to effectively execute projects from kickoff to completion, including coordination of resources, meetings, and feedback while diligently working to ensure all projects are on track, on time, and in scope
  • Lead cross functional  forums to coordinate activities, get updates, and resolve issues/blockers
  • Generate and provide POVs on the status of Fulfillment Center launches to stakeholders at all levels of the Wayfair organization including Executive Leadership. 
  • Manage projects related to MHE sortation, conveyance, and storage racking.  May be involved in other projects related to process improvement, facilities, and building improvements as needed.   
  • Manage Fulfillment Center & HDO relocation projects.
  • Work with multifunctional teams to drive projects to completion, including developing regular cadence of meetings, design reviews and project management communications.  
  • Practice safe work procedures, and follows all safety rules at all times
  • Travel required – 10-25% depending on home location

 

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Management, or extensive experience in Implementing fulfillment & home delivery solutions
  • Experience in large scale implementations in the logistics space
  • 7+ years of experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Detail oriented, with strong analytical and organizational skills, who is also highly results oriented and proactive
  • Exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication skills. Effectively communicating with business partners and senior management both local and remote
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to identify critical paths and execute (these may change weekly) in a dynamic, fast-paced organization
  • Fulfillment Operations experience, a plus
