Senior Manager Sales Steering - CastleGate Forwarding

Job Description

CastleGate Forwarding (CGF) is a fast growing digital freight forwarding organization within Wayfair's end-to-end Logistics Network. We offer a full suite of shipping services (Asia consolidation, Ocean freight, Drayage, Customs Brokerage, Cargo Insurance, etc.) that aims to provide Wayfair suppliers with turn-key Freight Forwarding services that are predictable and reliable, so they can scale their business. As Senior Manager of CGF’s Sales Steering team, you will play a critical role in executing our sales strategy to ensure CGF performance supports fast pace growth initiatives and strengthens relationships with CGF carrier partners. You will collaborate with business unit leaders across the International Supply Chain and drive strategic decisions This is a highly visible and exciting role and one that will offer the right candidate an opportunity to be part of a fast growing environment within the e-commerce industry.

 

What You'll Do
Build the Sales Steering team with clearly defined of roles and responsibilities
Develop processes with cross-functional teams (Network, Control Tower, Procurement) to identify available or needed capacity to support CGF customers.Develop and drive strategies to sell open capacity based on timing needs (short, mid, long term)
Collaborate with the globalization team on new origin enablement.
Lead team to create and drive sales campaigns to meet growth targets across all CGF services (new & existing customers)
Evaluate CGF results and competitive developments to identify improvements or recommend changes in our CGF program
Collaborate with Partner Operations and Key Account Management to increase share of wallet with existing CGF customers
Team will monitor supplier container volume performance against contractual agreements and drive necessary actions to maintain steady pipeline What You'll Need

 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
A Bachelor and/or Masters degree
5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the ocean/ freight forwarding industry, with knowledge of creating and driving campaigns
Leadership/project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional discussions and to effectively scope and deliver projects under tight deadlines.

Structured and analytical problem solving approach
Ability to work effectively with people in a cross-functional environment
An open personality and confidence to work with mid level or C-level business partners
High degree of comfort using Excel and Powerpoint to work with data and communicate ideas
