The Partner Operations team enables the commercial success of Wayfair by guiding and supporting our supplier partners towards the supply chain set up and performance that unlocks their success in the online market. Armed with this knowledge, we act as trusted advisors to prepare suppliers to make the right decisions for their operations. We are a diverse, international team of entrepreneurial minds driven by business impact.

Within this broader organization, the Supply Chain Integration (SCI) team leads the strategic development and process for onboarding and integrating suppliers to sell and operate successfully with Wayfair.  The SCI team enables Wayfair’s ability for hyper growth as we further expand the supplier base in the $400 billion furniture market that we operate in.  A key strategic priority in 2021 will be to onboard 5x the current volume of international suppliers (primarily Chinese based) who sell on Wayfair in the US.  In this role, Wayfair is seeking a talented and driven leader to build strategy and execute against a roadmap designed to improve supplier dropship performance through the adoption of best in class technology (ERP, OMS, WMS, etc).  You will work closely with leaders across Wayfair to help define overall Onboarding & Integration strategy across all of our supplier services, and lead high impact initiatives..

What you’ll do

  • Formulate strategy and drive adoption of scalable technology solutions to enable fast, efficient, and reliable fulfillment operations today and in the future, through consultation with suppliers and cross-functional teams
  • Own the end to end onboarding process for Asia based suppliers
  • Build out longer term vision to create a scalable yet tailored approach to serve this segment of supplier within Wayfair’s broader ecosystem of supplier onboarding
  • Evaluate current constraints in the existing process that inhibit the opportunity to meet Wayfair’s growth targets
  • Work with stakeholders across operations to identify and execute enhancements to the existing process (in terms of supplier NPS, speed, throughput)
  • Manage month to month trends in onboarding data and report out on ongoing improvements and results

What you’ll need

  • A Bachelor and or Masters Degree
  • Sufficient experience (5+ years) preferably (but not necessarily limited to) in online retail, supply chain, project management and/or management consulting
  • Fluency in Mandarin (written + verbal)
  • An ability to hit the ground running – a confident, entrepreneurial self-starter
  • An ability to manage and prioritize projects, and to delegate tasks appropriately
  • Innovative problem-solving skills – dissect and determine root causes of problems and implement solutions
  • A track record of taking on big challenges and delivering despite obstacles and limited resources
