Role Description

Are you a problem solver and enjoy spotting patterns in data? We are looking for a Senior Analyst to own the personalization strategy for Marketing Email in Europe. Every day, we send millions of marketing emails driving double-digit millions in annual revenue. We ensure this by leveraging cutting-edge personalization strategies that are continuously tested and refined by our marketing analysts.

In this new, exciting and high-impact role, you will analyze troves of data and generate insights about customer behavior. You will own your A/B testing roadmap  and  be fully empowered to test your bold ideas & challenge the status quo. You will drive real impact at a very-large scale and grow professionally and personally, while being well-supported by a network of mentors, peers, and a seasoned manager. 

The ideal candidate for this role is strong in structured problem-solving and quantitative analysis. She/he is also comfortable with taking ownership for results and pivoting based on learnings.

What you will do 

  • Conduct thorough & granular analyses on vast amounts of customer data (= your playground), spot patterns and generate hypotheses to improve relevance of our emails.
  • A/B test your ideas, leveraging our world-class Marketing Communication and Experimentation Platform, and generate learnigns to re-shape our global email strategy. 
  • Share compelling & comprehensive syntheses of your wins/learnings with a broad internal audience.
  • Monitor Email performance & understand trends, leveraging a suite of cutting-edge analytic tools (e.g. Looker, Google Data Studio, Google Big Query).
  • Become an expert in product recommendation strategies & how to optimize them, partnering closely with our Data-Science team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally & build trusting relationships across multiple teams (Marketing, Promotion) & locations (Berlin, Boston).

What you will need

  • Bachelor degree in a quantitative field of study: math, sciences, economics, or business
  • At least 3 years of full-time work experience
  • Track record of structured and data-driven problem-solving for complex problems
  • Advanced expertise with Excel and intermediate SQL skills (e.g, table joins)
  • Strong ownership instinct about driving results and pivoting with agility 
  • Fluent English
