Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Analyst to own the growth strategy and execution for our Marketing Emails and App Push Notifications in Europe. Every day, we send millions of emails and app push notifications to our customers in Europe and these channels drive double-digit millions in annual revenue. Further, we currently operate in the UK and Germany and are exploring strategic expansions. 

Marketing Emails and App Push Notifications are uniquely essential to driving customer loyalty. The content of each of our emails and push notifications is automatically tailored to the customer’s specific interests and purchase intent. We ensure this by leveraging cutting-edge data science and personalization strategies that are continuously tested and refined by our marketing analysts.

In this exciting and high-impact role, you will have the opportunity to analyze troves of customer data, use that to generate insights about customer behavior,  define your A/B testing roadmap and test your ideas for continuously increasing relevance of our emails and enhancing the customer experience. You will be fully empowered to take bold risks and challenge the status quo while being well-supported by your peers and a seasoned manager. 

The ideal candidate for this role is strong in structured problem-solving and quantitative analysis, has good attention to detail and pattern recognition, and excellent answer-first communication skills, and is comfortable with taking ownership for results in a fast-paced environment.

What you will do 

  • Own the growth strategy for our B2B - or - B2C emails and push notifications in Europe
  • Analyze vast amounts of customer data, with guidance from your manager, to identify opportunities for continuously increasing the relevance of our emails & push notifications 
  • Recommend innovative ideas to better personalize our emails & push notifications and A/B test your ideas, leveraging our world-class marketing communications and experimentation platform
  • Partner cross-functionally with a broad set of internal stakeholders, including Creative, Promotions, Data Science, Mar Tech etc. to plan and execute your campaigns & tests .
  • Report on results of your tests and monitor channel performance, leveraging a suite of cutting-edge analytic tools (e.g., Looker, Google Data Studio, Google Big Query etc.)
  • Drill down into channel performance trends and identify root-cause drivers 

What you will need

  • Bachelor degree in a quantitative field of study: math, sciences, economics, or business
  • At least 2 years of full-time work experience
  • Track record of structured and data-driven problem-solving for complex problems
  • Advanced expertise with Excel and intermediate SQL skills (e.g, table joins)
  • Strong ownership instinct about driving results and pivoting with agility when facing unexpected obstacles. 
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent communication skills - answer-first, specific and decision-oriented.
  • Languages: English; intermediate knowledge of German preferred but not required.
