Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Analyst / Associate to own a multi-million advertising spend and help achieve our bold vision for print (direct mail and print catalog) and out of home (billboard ads) marketing in Europe. We currently operate in the UK and Germany and are exploring strategic expansions.

Print and out of home (OOH) marketing are uniquely important to shaping Wayfair’s brand and essential to our vision of engaging customers via an omni-channel marketing strategy. They offer incredibly-rich canvases for telling Wayfair’s story in exciting palpable formats like print, inspiring our customers to visit Wayfair and empowering them to create homes that are just right for them.

In this exciting and high-impact role, you will be fully empowered and have the opportunity to drive the strategy, define your A/B testing roadmap and drive growth of these channels. You will of course be supported by your peers in our Berlin and Boston offices as well as a strong and seasoned manager.

The ideal candidate for this role has good attention to detail, is strong in structured problem-solving and quantitative analysis, has excellent answer-first communication skills, and is comfortable with taking ownership and driving results in a fast-paced environment.

About Marketing in Europe at Wayfair

Marketing at Wayfair is a key growth driver and critical enabler of our overall success. Our team is a diverse, inclusive  and international group of customer advocates who enjoy moving fast and taking smart risks. • Be responsible for Print Marketing (and later OOH) channels for Wayfair in Europe: selecting target groups, deciding creative formats, managing printing and distribution process (via external vendors) and timelines, planning and conducting A/B tests etc.
  • Conduct deep market research on Out of Home (OOH) marketing opportunities, and help define the roadmap for launching and growing OOH in Europe
  • Design and run real-world A/B tests to improve our strategy for growing these channels and refine your understanding of what works / what does not
  • Analyze campaign efficiency (return on ad spend) and report out on channel performance.
  • Work cross-functionally with a broad set of internal stakeholders, including Creative, Data Science, Ad Tech, Merchandising etc. to plan, execute, and measure campaigns.
  • Lead day to day discussions with  external vendors (printers and data providers) to ensure smooth campaign execution; identify and vet new vendors

What you will need

  • Bachelor degree in a quantitative field of study: math, sciences, economics, or business
  • At least 2 years of full-time work experience, with a track record of independently owning and driving to solutions for complex business problems
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities, learn quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ownership instinct about driving results and pivoting with agility when confronted with ambiguity or unexpected obstacles.
  • Excellent communication skills - answer-first, specific and decision-oriented.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel (working knowledge of SQL is a plus, but not mandatory)
  • Languages: English necessary; intermediate German preferred
  • Interest in and / or experience with Offline Marketing a plus, but not required.
