About the team:

Merchandising Technology (MerchTech) is responsible for the technology platform that prepares Wayfair’s massive catalog of SKUs for omni-channel delivery, including assortment planning, imagery and 3D/AR content creation, and storage/delivery of media assets. Brand & Channel Workflow systems are core to Wayfair’s business model, bringing our mostly tightly curated assortments to our customers and driving significant impact for the company. 

What you’ll do: 

As a Senior Product Manager you will own the product discovery, strategy and roadmap for Brand & Channel Workflows at Wayfair. The role is highly cross-functional requiring close interaction with users, software engineers, data scientists and experience designers. The candidate must have sufficient familiarity with modern product management techniques and a passion for solving high-impact operational and technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate the Brand & Channels Workflows product vision & strategy - as an expert in your customer/user you will clearly define the customer/user experience and evangelize that journey with stakeholders and cross-functional partners. 
  • Lead discovery activities for your team in partnership with cross-functional partner teams
  • Prioritize the highest impact problems to solve - weighing trade-offs (leveraging an appropriate method for sizing impact) and defining measurable outcomes for the atomic team to achieve.
  • Support the delivery of the products your team builds -  in partnership with your Engineering Manager you will ensure delivery and adoption of software products by customers/users. 

Desired Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of product management or comparable experience in an agile development environment, ideally with exposure to a relevant product area (eCommerce or B2C; SaaS platforms; Enterprise application experience).
  • Ability to create clarity in an ambiguous or complex problem space and to break it down and sequence it into multiple end-to-end use cases using logic and data 
  • Capability to collaborate with engineering teams on scoping technical requirements.
  • High attention to detail with a proven track record in taking ownership of problems independently and driving results with a healthy bias for action
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for creating impactful products and services
  • Capability to collaborate with the broader organization across multiple time zones and to influence decisions even without direct authority 
  • An inclusive, adaptable, and persuasive communication style and the ability to author well-structured, data-informed narrative and documents
