Successful candidates will be highly innovative, passionate about software design- and development, and solve highly complex technical projects.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • As a Senior Engineer, you’ll be working in a highly collaborative environment interacting with other software engineers and product managers
  • You will be responsible for the proof-of-concept, design, sequencing, estimation, and implementation, and release of products and features within a team of high-performing engineers that will shape the future of Wayfair’s supplier account management
  • You help to raise the bar by setting standards like TDD, pair programming, or test automation
  • You will contribute to the team’s technical direction through discussions & supporting writing technical documents such as RFCs & ADRs.
  • Provide high-quality code reviews and mentor new hires and other engineers to help them become more proficient using best practices and processes

What You’ll Need:

  • Several years of experience as a full-stack software engineer and an understanding of how to design and maintain a system at scale.
  • Experience in Java, and Javascript (ideally Typescript, and React)
  • Passion for supporting and collaborating on a large, cross-cutting technical product delivery across multiple teams and user needs
  • Experience mentoring engineers and conducting code reviews
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineers and product managers
  • Good understanding of TDD and other XP/Agile practices
  • Proficient in effective troubleshooting and issue resolution techniques
