Wayfair's Supplier Accounts Management system has a clear mission: We help grow our supplier base and make our account manager's life more productive.

Our team is nimble, passionate, and innovative with a focus on delivery and agility. We value collaboration, feedback, and innovation - whether that's in brainstorming sessions or pair programming. You can expect to start making an impact during your first week, producing code that will quickly go to production.

This role presents significant opportunities in software engineering, software architecture, mentorship, and business impact. By constantly raising the bar, you challenge how we build our products and help grow Wayfair's supplier base at scale. Successful candidates will be highly innovative, passionate about software design- and development, and solve highly complex technical projects.

What You'll Do:

  • Architect and write code to implement high-quality, scalable services with effective system boundaries that support our long term vision & strategy
  • Together with our UX experts, build efficient and state-of-the-art user interfaces that set new standards for frontend architectures
  • Lead your teammates by example; as a senior member of the team, your code and system designs demonstrate the path the team should follow
  • Contribute to and influence our technology and product strategy and roadmaps
  • Facilitate technical debate and decision making with an appreciation for trade-offs
  • Nurture collaborative ways of working that grow the team, its members, and the product: testing practices, TDD, pairing/mobbing, continuous deployment, domain-driven design
  • Continuously rethink and push the status quo, even when it challenges your/our established ideas

What You'll Need:

  • Broad experience with JVM technologies, Java (and React is a plus)
  • Experience with architectures developed in cloud-based and event-driven environments
  • Experience with Monolith, SOA, and Microservice architectures that served as business and/or technical platforms.
  • Capability to communicate and collaborate across the wider organization, influencing decisions without direct authority and always with inclusive, adaptable, and persuasive communication
  • A passion for challenging problems and the ability to work with many different teams identifying architectural boundaries and platform interfaces.
What We’ll Gladly Offer
  • Highly competitive compensation packages
  • Full ownership of your wellbeing with our unlimited “Personal Time Off”
  • Paid volunteering work
  • Contribution to private pension
  • Commuting schemes (car, bike, public transport)
  • Free access to LinkedIn e-learning courses and programs
  • Access to German language courses
  • Health & Sport memberships
  • Virtual child care
  • Global Wellbeing Program
  • Employee discount for Wayfair purchases
  • Full relocation support plus VISA sponsorship
