Senior Team Lead - Learning & Development Europe & Asia

What You’ll Do:

Wayfair is looking for a strong people-leader and strategic business partner to drive the delivery of Talent Development needs of our continually growing organization. As part of the global Talent Development team, you will partner with leaders across the business, uncover data-driven opportunities to improve learning experiences along the employee lifecycle, and build end-to-end solutions to address department-specific needs. You will leverage the current stable of content to quickly deliver tailored solutions that balance impact and efficiency.

You act as a thought partner to build and drive the roadmap for the team, drive strategic projects like our performance management approach, and own how to best orient and onboard new hires. The Talent Development team will report directly to you. You will be the main point of contact for functional heads in topics related to Orientation and Onboarding of new hires in our European and Asian locations.

  • Lead a team of 5+ Talent Development Team Members (Learning & Development, New Hire Experience and Performance Strategy)
  • Partner with the business and global Talent Development team members to develop, implement, and evaluate products that address the needs
  • Assisting the team to draw the correct conclusions from key employee data for each functional area (e.g., employee engagement surveys, turnover stats, upward feedback) to help
  • improve employee satisfaction, retention and effectiveness
  • Develop own and team members work plan(s) and timelines with key dependencies, deliverables and milestones
  • Align closely and frequently with TD leadership team to ensure shared vision; partner closely with Continuous Learning on potential synergies; partner closely with department-aligned TD Partners to gather inputs on departmental needs
  • Lead communications and related change management effort
  • Develop plan for ongoing maintenance, scalability, and appropriate decision-making of what elements are globalized vs. localized
  • Establish metrics to evaluate effectiveness of DSO programming
  • Tie the approach to L&D Team Goals (Personalize Learning, Establish L&Ds, Optimize L&D)

What You’ll Need:

  • 7+ years professional experience in Learning and Development or Performance Strategy
  • 2+ years experience directly managing a team, ideally with experience managing other managers
  • Master’s degree in organizational development, organizational psychology, or MBA (or similar).
  • High business acumen
  • Strong stakeholder management and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
  • High level of flexibility and adaptability
  • Senior presence: ability to work side-by-side with senior executives
