Summary:

The Home Delivery Operations - Standards Excellence Manager is a multifunctional hybrid role within Wayfair’s Global Supply Chain. You will embody and perform tasks among three main work streams across all of our North America Delivery Operations: Project Management & Implementation of Standardization Efforts, Critical Operational Support, and Operations Benchmark Assessing.
An ideal candidate will have experience in Direct Warehouse Operations, Project Management, and/or a Strong Supply Chain/Logistics background as well as a firm grasp on WMS, LMS, Inventory, and Routing systems.

 

What You'll Do:
Assess HDOs for Compliance and Comprehension (Drive Results)
Close compliance and knowledge gaps while onsite
Create action plan with site leadership to ensure sustainability
Follow-up with site leadership to ensure action plans are on track and driving meaningful results
Analyze site performance and deliver root-cause analysis
Execute HDO standardization projects (Win Together)
Coordinate with cross-functional partners and vendors to ensure on-time completion of standardization efforts
Project manage standardization efforts both onsite and remotely to ensure on-time completion
Support Building Operations in Business Critical situations (Always Improving)
Fill-in as Terminal Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or Transportation Supervisor as required and fulfill their daily responsibilities.
Drive adherence to SOPs through training, performance managing, daily stand-ups
Identify opportunities in comprehension and compliance and create action plans to close those gaps
Promote the Wayfair culture through strict adherence to safety and 5S principles, daily team stand-ups, and consistent 1:1 meetings

 

What You'll Need
Flexibility to travel up to 75% of the time, often with short notice
An in-depth knowledge and understanding of our warehouse and labor management systems (Extranet, Descartes, Workday, Driveway, Runway, Highjump, Wayscan)
A willingness to train and partner with team members in L0-L5 positions, in both hands-on and virtual environments.
Ability to manage projects remotely and onsite, including influencing cross-functional partners to ensure timeline commitments are met
Strong prioritization and time management skills
Excellent Verbal & Written Communication & Presentation skills
Proven business and operational acumen
