Supplier Acquisition & Partnerships at Wayfair is responsible for increasing Wayfair’s revenue by identifying, approaching and acquiring new suppliers. The role provides a mix of sales, business analysis and strategy design and implementation. We achieve our goals through meticulous project management, process improvement and execution focus. In addition, you will make decisions on the most appropriate tools and levers required to onboard committed suppliers and set them up for success at Wayfair. 

 

What You'll Do

  • Work within a dynamic, motivated and driven team based in Berlin - own acquisition for suppliers in your category as well as strategy and execution for sales and business development partnership. Contribute to the company’s ambitious growth targets
    Work on some of the biggest categories for Wayfair in terms of revenue and help us grow the supplier base within these categories.
  • This includes negotiating with key suppliers in the industry and onboarding them to Wayfair
  • Identify the most impactful external partners that enable scalable supplier acquisition for Wayfair. Gain strong engagement with them, solve contractual and technical challenges and define a clear roadmap and channels for joint sales and business development initiatives
  • Drive the rollout of these partnerships and monitor success
    Work alongside cross-functional stakeholders to identify blockers, and together with your peers develop solutions and execute on them
  • Develop and establish new processes. Gain cross-functional buy-in and support for that. Ensure roll-out and path the way for the team to maximise impact within the organization.
  • Use data to analyse and interpret your partners’ potential and impact for supplier acquisition at scale

 

What You'll Need

  • A bachelor degree
  • Fluency in both German and English (other European languages a plus)
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on commercial experience
  • Comfortable in a technology-driven, numbers-oriented business environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced and rapidly changing organizations
  • Articulate, persuasive and personable communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong process orientation and very efficient and self-organized ways of working
  • Demonstrated success in building business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Professional experience in a sales, business development, eCommerce partnership management with proven career progression and broadened scope of responsibility
  • Ability to develop robust concepts to tackle new business challenges and derive efficient and impactful solutions from that
  • Proven success in rolling out cross-functional projects that have measurable impact on the business
  • Experience in people management a plus
  • Proven track record of constantly reaching or outperforming targets
    Demonstrated ability to lead successful commercial and contractual negotiations
