Being a part of a Vertical team within Partner Operations means you generate energy from being in the center of the action.  As Wayfair’s primary supplier facing operations team, we drive high value engagement within Wayfair’s ever growing supplier base.  The team acts as a chief advisor to our suppliers to drive forecast alignment, demand planning, inventory allocation, and fulfillment strategies.  The team is also highly engaged with International Supply Chain and Asia Logistics teams, where we work to build supply chain efficiencies.  What defines this team across its areas of scope is our passion to make a substantial impact and create win-win strategies for our suppliers and Wayfair.  

What You’ll Do: 

We are looking for proactive, organized, and energetic individuals that can actively manage a portfolio of suppliers, build recommendations and influence supplier specific supply chain/e-commerce  strategies, and continuously maintain key priorities to drive best in class outcomes for Wayfair.  Successful individuals in this role excel at both qualitative and quantitative analysis while also being eager to communicate upward and outward to tell a concise story.

What You'll Do 

  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize sales, turns, in-stock rates, and network balance
  • Create replenishment orders reflective of supplier goals
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure follow-through on replenishment orders and inventory commitments and to develop sustainable, long-term strategies to grow the business
  • Monitor key performance indicators and drive corrective action
  • Manage efficient inbound inventory flows and health, including forecasting, purchasing, and removing aged inventory
  • Drive root cause analysis/reporting on operational issues, developing action plans and project managing improvements
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and build advanced reporting using SQL and Excel to drive decisions
  • Work cross-functionally with a variety of teams including Analytics, Category Management and Forecasting

What You'll Need 

  • Demonstrated foundation in supply chain with the ability to transverse tactical execution and strategic planning
  • Evidence of being a great team member in an inclusive environment
  • Evidence of thoughtful and clear communication whether written or spoken 
  • Demonstrated evidence in meeting preparation and agenda setting either independently or cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholder (or external client) relationships
  • 2+ years of Supply Chain experience with consulting experience a plus
  • Advanced experience with SQL, Data Studio, Looker, GBQ, or Excel a plus
  • Prior experience in a Fulfilment Center or as an inventory planner a plus
  • Advanced data analytics skills (Excel at a minimum) strongly preferred
  • A BA from an accredited institution a plus
