The Technical Support function within Wayfair Delivery Network (WDN) supports the overall hub / depot control team to ensure systems and operationally supported processes are maintained and fit for purpose.  Working closely with warehouse, Transportation Planning/Execution, Castlegate Operations, Carrier Management and Customer Services to ensure great execution of systems functionality. The team aims to provide best in class technical efficiency at Wayfair.

 

Please note that this is NOT a virtual role - you are required to be onsite every day.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide technical services to Wayfair including system analysis and design, application testing, implementation, technical application support.
  • Provide systems configuration and maintenance on operations facing systems, by becoming an expert on the use of all aspects of the systems.
  • Conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new systems and system enhancements.
  • Delivering support to users and investigating and resolving application errors, data discrepancies and queries.
  • Make root cause analysis for errors, create bug reports, and work closely with software engineers to fix the issues.
  • Monitor progress of requests for support and ensure users and other interested parties are kept informed.
  • Compile the necessary reports and level of management information to ensure best in class service and support.

 

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum 1 year of technical experience within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment (Parcels / Large Parcels preferred).
  • Experience of usage of warehouse / logistics systems (ERP, WMS, S&OP or similar)
  • Ability to use data software and systems to conduct analyses and manage findings.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to interface effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Numerical and literacy skills to compile reports and necessary documentation as required.
  • Able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) or Google Suite (G-Mail, GoogleSheets,)
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly; make decisions and draw conclusions in the face of ambiguity.
  • An interest in working hard and being challenged in a fast-paced environment, and having fun while doing it.
  • Flexible and able to handle ad-hoc issues that may arise outside of core business.
