Job Description

 

The Manager, Outsourced/Offshore Labor Strategy & Operations will report into the Senior Manager Outsourced Labor & Services (OSLS) and is responsible for several key facets of Wayfair’s $100M+ outsourced labor (onshore and offshore) program, including financial forecast, planning and reporting, data analytics, and process automation. As Wayfair grows our contingent labor workforce, this role will ensure we’re doing so in a way that is efficient and scalable by focusing on process definition and optimization, tool selection and implementation, and engagement with key stakeholder groups across the organization (Talent, Finance, Merchandising, Technology, etc.).  In this central role, you will drive the end-to-end approach for how we govern 3rd party Outsourced Labor & Services efforts such as:

 

  1. Process:  A key element of building a scalable program is having standardized, clear, and easy-to-follow processes for stakeholders and vendors alike.  You will be responsible for designing and implementing (in partnership with other teams) process and data flows for the program.
  2. Planning:  You’ll be responsible for capturing demand forecasts from stakeholder teams, synthesizing, analyzing and partnering with Finance to incorporate into the financial plans
  3. Data & Analytics Reporting: We pride ourselves on being data-driven.  You will be responsible for the collection, organization, analysis, and reporting of onshore and offshore related data across vendors and stakeholder teams. 

 

It’s an exciting and unique role, in which you’ll lead a small team and collaborate with many Wayfair departments to shape how we manage processes, systems, and planning / performance management for a critical area of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Shape and execute the strategy and roadmap to ensure seamless execution of the operating model (processes, systems, reporting, etc.) for Wayfair's $100m+ Outsourced Labor & Services program 
  • Drive advancements of our outsourced programs including tools, vendor performance scorecards, efficient, streamlined onboarding processes, and accurate spend governance methodologies 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and incorporate into improved processes and workflows
  • Govern key OSLS metrics and KPIs including spend, ROI, productivity, onboarding time, etc.



Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in vendor management, outsourcing / extended workforce, operations, or a similar business field
  • Experience with Vendor Management Systems (VMS) or with MSPs a plus
  • Experience partnering with many cross-functional internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and persuasive communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills- being able to create recommendations and decisions based on data
  • Ability to thrive in a high growth, data-oriented and entrepreneurial environment where strong project management skills, analytics, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities are a must



About the Team

 

Outsourced Labor & Services (OSLS) is part of the Strategic Procurement (Finance) department and owns outsourced vendor partnerships, ensuring all offshore workflows within the network are operating at optimal cost, staffing and process efficiencies. They govern the spend for each line of business (LoB) and broadly across the vendor network by establishing spend targets with FP&A and monitoring actuals. They streamline the process of onboarding, training, cross-utilizing, and measuring performance of vendors so that they are operating at maximum efficiency and meeting stakeholder established SLAs. As the needs of our stakeholders evolve with the implementation of tech automation and new initiatives, we consistently evaluate the network to ensure it is equipped with the right size, skills, diversification, and rate structures.
