About the role:

Reporting to the Implementation Project Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects of varying size and complexity are completed safely, within an agreed timeframe and budget.

Managing small to medium sized projects in a fast-paced and growing Distribution Centre environment in the DE and Europe, work closely with architects, surveyors and other building professionals in planning and delivery.

You'll also supervise and direct a range of operations on a construction site and ensure that all tradespeople and contractors are working safely, together to an agreed plan and that progress is being made.

You may have responsibility for a whole project, or parts of large-scale complex infrastructure projects.

What you’ll do:

• Support the Implementation Project Manager in the execution of major infrastructure projects Plan, manage, monitor and coordinate the execution phase of projects varying in size and complexity, ensuring on time delivery, as per the master schedule Provide regular project and site progress reports
• Deal with any unexpected problems that may occur during the course of a project Responsible for identifying emerging risks and issues, problems or variance to the agreed project objectives, plan, budget and scope Liaise with and manage designers, contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders for the duration of a project Ensure that all risks are effectively managed and escalated where appropriate
• Take account of the health and safety risks to everyone affected by the works relating to the projects and take a role in actively planning and managing the measures needed to control them

What you’ll need: 

• Necessary HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject or 2-3 years relevant experience
• Ability to manage change at short notice with remaining detail oriented, with good organizational skills.
• Good written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicating with project teams, business partners and senior management both local and remote
• Proficient with MS Project or equivalent
• Although the role is based in Lich, must be prepared to travel to European sites
• Warehousing systems experience (desirable)
