Welocalize is seeking native-level Arabic language editors for multimedia content to support a worldwide known application. Our Fortune 100 tech client is looking for candidates with strong editorial, linguistic, and writing skills.   

Position: Arabic Multimedia Content Reviewer
Location: Remote - can be based anywhere in Ireland
Permanent Contract with benefits
Workweek: 5 days a week, 35 hours
Hours: 8am-4pm Monday- Friday
Start Date: ASAP
 
This person will edit copy, fact-check, and re-write playlist blurbs as well as album descriptions, marketing emails, and other localized text for our client’s music app. They will ensure text complies with guidelines provided and is appropriate for the native market. Will also analyze music copy and ensure music-related information listed is accurate by researching culturally relevant sources.

Ideal Candidates: music and writing/editing background, marketing, blogging, journalism, etc.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent reviewing skills
  • Background in journalism, copy editing, blogging, marketing  
  • Experience in reviewing articles (edit copy, fact-check, re-write)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English in addition to the target language at a native-level fluency. 
  • Is in tune with music and pop culture who can potentially write and review about both
  • Possesses basic computer skills, iOS systems a plus 
  • Well capable of typing in the target language using a local (English) keyboard 
  • Enjoys listening to all genres of music and can potentially write about music without typos 
  • Able to review subtitled and dubbed video content for linguistic errors and accuracy  
  • Able to review TV shows and movies for cultural appropriateness
