Welocalize is seeking Linguistic testers for 6 months on-site based in London, UK. (Remote due to Coronavirus)
Title: Senior Linguist
Location: London, UK
Longevity: 6 months
Salary: £31.850K/year
*Must have work permit/authorization
*40 hours a week
Preferred (but not required): localization experience, JIRA
MAIN DUTIES:
Translation (Translating and reviewing the assigned content according to the guidelines and prescribed due dates).Linguistic Reviews and quality assessment (Track and monitor translation quality, flag potential quality issues and take actions to address them).Localization Testing and A/B Testing (Regularly perform Localization testing (e.g. screenshot testing or Live testing) as per the task instructions/test plan).Create and maintain linguistic assets (Translate and/or review the Glossary to ensure accuracy and appropriateness). Communicate and collaborate (Proactively flag potential or existing issues and regularly follow-up to ensure timely resolution).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
100% native fluency in the target language. At least 3 years of experience in translation and localization. Familiarity with the target language culture and trends. Knowledge of CAT tools and translation quality management. Experience localizing apps and mobile content (e.g. translation of websites and apps).Familiarity with translated content.Strong linguistic and analytical skills to make critical judgments regarding the translation quality.When you join Welocalize, you have the opportunity to bring your career to the next level:
