Just 2 years ago, Wolt operated in 4 countries and 10 cities across the Nordics. Fast forward to today, we’re in 20 countries and +70 cities across EMEA, servicing over 4.5M registered users. We’re growing rapidly and are looking for more talented individuals to join us. If you are passionate about cutting-edge technology, great food, and making an impact in your city, then Wolt just might be for you.

About Wolt’s Global Operations
The role you are looking at is part of Global Operations, within Wolt’s Operations Team. The Operations Team of Wolt consist of two parts: the City Teams, and Global Operations. The City Teams across our locations are the heart and soul of Wolt. Every team is a startup within a startup, aiming to provide the best possible service for our customers while growing our business. The Global Operations team on the other hand, is a task force within Wolt that helps our city teams’ business grow and scale. The team helps drive long-term strategy, scalable processes, and a sustainable business model across our entire base of operations. If you are an analytical and creative problem solver, like moving in the fast lane and thrive in a dynamic environment where you are proactive and figure out what to do rather than wait to be told what to do then Global Operations is the place for you!

About the Role
In this role you’ll be finding solutions to some of the toughest and most exciting operational questions that will improve Wolt’s 3-sided marketplace. You will be responsible for developing our operating model and driving major cross-functional projects (or leading the Operations workstream on them) to roll-out Woltwide delivery enhancement.

You will be a part of a dynamic team of managers that reports to the Head of Global Delivery Operations. You’ll also work very closely with several stakeholders located around the world, and should therefore expect 20-40 days of travelling yearly:

- Local Operations and Commercial teams – to shape the customer proposition, and subsequently the requisite operating model, through a robust and analytical approach
- Product teams -  to inform and influence product design and product roadmap priorities
- Central functions such as Policy and Legal – to ensure we can achieve our objectives profitably and within the constraints of evolving legal environments
- Analytics and Business Intelligence - to draw out business insights from data analysis and present findings and recommendations.

What you will do
You will be in charge of developing, testing, evaluating and improving Wolt’s courier partner model, delivery operations and logistics setup across markets in close cooperation with your colleagues in Global Operations, Central teams, General Managers and Operation Managers in the local Ops teams. We expect you to take full ownership of managing the Courier Partner model including:

  • Drive concurrent projects across the organisation in close cooperation with product teams, analytics, and local teams, e.g. reduce order lateness or improve courier partner retention
  • Manage stakeholders across the entire business, e.g. from Operations Associates all the way up to the Executive team
  • Analyse and define optimal city configuration, vehicle composition, delivery areas
  • Structure delivery fee pricing
  • Test and determine the future of compensation models
  • Map the lifetime value of a courier partner and adequate UA spend
  • Quarterly assess and review courier compensation models per city
  • Work with analytics on translating findings into productized recommendations and tools
  • Manage implementation and compliance by local teams

  • While your role has a huge strategic emphasis, your recommendations should always be practicable. This means that you need to be able to step back and see the bigger picture to understand interdependencies and implications on other parts of the business. You should also be proactively consulting relevant stakeholders regularly for their input and test the pragmatism of your proposed solutions.

    About you - core capabilities

  • Analytical - Able to ‘think big’ as well as execute ‘on-the-fly’ via understanding the dynamics behind the business through your analysis.
  • Strategic thinker - Can stay one step ahead when thinking about the impact of the changes we are deploying to the delivery network. It’s a plus if you have a background or demonstrated an interest in behavioural economics with an ability to utilise learnings from this field to a real-world problem.
  • Project management – know the basics of managing multiple projects and stakeholders in a structured and logical way.
  • Effective communicator - outstanding interpersonal and business skills. Able to quickly establish gravitas and credibility with a range of stakeholders.
  • Track record of ‘getting stuff done’ - operational knowledge of the business and how it works today. Know when you have enough insight to make-a-call and apply the 80 / 20 rule – rapid high-quality decisions.
  • Adaptable fixer - enthusiastic, flexible & adaptable with the ability to remove barriers & bottlenecks via facilitation, creativity & resourcefulness. Don’t slavishly follow processes if they aren’t right.
  • Can build “stuff” - approaches, processes, tools and structured change methodologies.
  • Inquisitive - infectiously curious, thoughtful and happy to question the status quo.
  • Highly comfortable with data - you are comfortable building analytical models to analyse and understand business cases. SQL and / or Python skills a major plus.
  • Requirements

  • 2-4 years experience in a top tier consultancy / fast-growing start-up / business development / finance / data analytics
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset,  where you will be able to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Comfortable with data - Solid excel and modelling skills, working knowledge of visualisation tools (e.g. Excel, Looker, Periscope), SQL and/or Python a plus
  • Effective PowerPoint/Google Slides skills in terms of speed and quality of output
  • Has fun and enjoys working in a collaborative environment
  • Eligible to work in the E.U. and able to relocate to Copenhagen
  • Along with a competitive salary and benefits, you will also be eligible for our stock option plan. So if you are excited about working in a high growth environment, taking ownership and being part of an extremely high performing team, we’d love to hear from you!

    About Wolt
Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. On our mobile app or website, customers can order their favorite meals from our restaurant partners, and either pick their order up or have it delivered by our courier partners.

We’re currently active in 20 countries and more than +70 cities, servicing over 4.5 million customers. Our apps (iOS and Android) have the industry’s highest reviews, largely because of our customer-centric approach to how we build our products and operations. For example, our customer service team responds in a matter of seconds, in the customer’s own language.

We’ve raised more than €150M in financing from renowned U.S. and European based investors, such as ICONIQ Capital, 83North, EQT Ventures and Highland Europe. We've also been fortunate enough to receive some appreciation and recognition for our hard work along the way: Apple selected Wolt’s app as their Editors' Choice, Wired named the company one of the "Hottest Startups in Europe," Forbes included our CEO Miki Kuusi on its 30-under-30 in Consumer Tech list, and the Nordic Startup Awards named Wolt Company of the Year.
