About the role
As the AR Supervisor you will be responsible for major areas of the Credit and Collections function within Accounts Receivable. As an experienced, collaborative and results-oriented individual you will have a strong background working in public industry, within an accounting function, dealing with increased levels of operational complexity and transaction volumes.
Under the direction of the Global Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be an integral member of the accounting team. This will involve being a significant contributor to the accounting close and reporting process, interface with auditors for the annual audit, as well as running large components of the daily accounting function. In addition, you will also partner with other organizations within the company to streamline processes that impact the accounting function.
You will need to be a self-starter, flexible in changing direction and methods, thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at managing multiple priorities, able to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization and have the prior work experience to immediately contribute to the accounting close processes as well as invoicing and collections processes.
What you will be doing:
Credit and Collections-
• Daily processing of invoice data analysis and support system UAT testing
• Daily management of EMEA region collections effort and tracking
• Supervise Credit and collections workflow development with the AR team and provide updated metrics
• Monthly AR aging analysis and assistance in the collection’s effort of the overdue accounts
• Prepare accounts receivable month end reconciliations
• Partner with operations partners to ensure accurate information is entered into the ERP system
• Monthly, quarterly and annual close process including account reconciliations and account review
• Partner in global process documentation in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
Revenue-
• Assist in the accurate and timely completion of Revenue month-end closing process.
• Work closely with business partners at period end to ensure revenue contracts are recognized as per company and GAAP guidelines.
• Gather pertinent information at period end from internal & external resources including POD's/confirmations for accurate reporting & documentation.
• Review/Validate data between multiple modules/systems to support accurate revenue recognition.
Minimum Qualifications
3 to 5 years of experience working in the AR/Revenue and/or general accounting function, including monthly close experience
Minimum relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel skills
Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Must manage multiple priorities well and handle projects with short deadlines with extreme attention to detail
Must be able to take full ownership of assignments and responsibilities
Preferred Skills
Experience within an Accounting function in life science industry
Public-sized companies' experience
Strong knowledge of AR/Revenue and general accounting Knowledge of the US GAAP
Extensive experience working in ERP system
Knowledge of Oracle Cloud, RevPro and ServiceNow
