About the role:

As the Commercial Contracts Manager you will be the primary contact within EMEA for all sales-related matters. This will involve supporting 10x Genomics’ sales and commercial teams with all documents relating to bids, tenders, terms of sale.

This is a stand-alone remote role, reporting to the Associate Director, Contracts (based in the US) so you will need to be comfortable working autonomously within a faced-paced high-volume environment.

Ideally you are someone who enjoys developing working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders with broad experience negotiating and contracting with academic and commercial life sciences customers across Europe.

Key responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary legal team contact for all sales-related matters across the EMEA region
  • Work with legal counsel, and sales, customer service, finance, marketing and other internal teams to prepare and negotiate bids, tenders, terms of sale, and related documents
  • Analyze and interpret complex contractual provisions to ensure compliance and consistency
  • Negotiate with sophisticated counterparties, such as universities, research institutions, pharma, and biotechnology companies
  • Help develop and deliver trainings to sales and other commercial team members
  • Provide high level of customer satisfaction both internally and externally

Minimum requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating agreements within the life sciences industry, preferably for a research tools company
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience is required
  • Highly organized, excellent communication skills, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to provide rapid, pragmatic solutions to address legal and business risks in urgent and demanding situations
  • Available during business hours in EU
  • Familiarity with contract and sales practices in major EMEA markets, including public and private tenders. 
  • Self-directed and proactive, comfortable executing on multiple projects independently and in collaboration with others

Preferred skills and/or experience:

  • Proficiency in French or German 
  • Understanding of revenue accounting
