About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven professional to join our growing global Procurement Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing and category management for instrument manufacturing. The candidate will be responsible for leading the procurement activities related to new supplier negotiation, evaluation and selection, as well as on-going relationship management for instruments. This candidate will work with cross-functional teams and will play a key role in supporting successful launches of upcoming cutting-edge new products at 10x.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute purchasing and sourcing activities for instrument New Products Introduction (NPI) to ensure key milestones are met and inventory built up for launch
Develop and maintain supply dashboard on components supply/demand statuses
Work with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate and select suppliers for new instrument products. Ensure cross-functional alignment on supplier selection strategy that leads to long-term supply chain sustainability, manufacturability, and quality excellence
Lead supplier performance assessment, ensure internal/external alignments and drive continuous performance improvements
Build strategic relationship with critical tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers for instrument manufacturing
Build supply chain sub-tier visibility. Conduct risk assessments, develop risk mitigation plans and drive secondary sourcing efforts
Benchmark the market, monitor technology trends, and develop sourcing roadmap
Conduct should-cost analysis and drive cost improvements efforts
Negotiate various agreements with suppliers and ensure achievements of competitive commercial terms

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree. A degree in engineering is strongly preferred
5+ years of strategic sourcing experience in electronics components, instruments manufacturing or contract manufacturing
Effective communicator with ability to influence at all levels
Strong business acumen and comfortable to make effective decisions in ambiguity
Hands-on ability to perform analysis on large amount of data to drive insights and decisions; Attention to details to ensure data accuracy
Comprehensive knowledge on contract commercial terms and ability to lead supply agreement negotiations independently
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and juggle shifting priorities and tight timelines
