Role Overview:
We are looking for a vehicle driver to support data collection, sensor characterization, verification and validation efforts.
What you’ll be doing:
Be responsible for driving different vehicles that are part of the Aeva vehicle fleetBe involved with multi-day data collection efforts with the vehicle which might involve driving to other cities / regions within USSupport sensor mounting, data logging and other associated effortsOperate vehicles during customer and investor demonstrationsAssist with troubleshooting issues with vehicle and sensor setupWhat you have:
Valid drivers license and a clean driving recordPassion to assist with data collection and characterization campaignsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to climb/stand on ladders and maneuver around the vehicleGood communication and a can do attitude to assist with time critical and demanding tasks with data collection and characterizationNice to have:
Class A commercial drivers license (CDL) to operate heavy vehicles such as trucksExperience with visual health checks of autonomous vehicle sensor outputFamiliarity with machine shop tools (drill press, bandsaw, mill, lathe)Experience doing your own vehicle maintenance or repairExperience with cable routing in an automotive, marine, or server room environment
