Get to know the team

The Brand Copywriter sits within the Marketing Department based in the Bangkok office and will play a critical role in encompassing various projects, collaborating ​with internal departments, and within the Brand Team.​ Our goal is to make sure that the output of every project meets brand standards, match the expectations of the client, and doesn't compromise creative integrity.​

​The Brand team of Agoda acts as an in-house design agency for the company. Planning and producing everything from fun Agoji, swag, and front-end creative to full-funnel marketing campaigns. This is a great opportunity to learn the design concept thoroughly and contribute work not only for the Marketing team but to Agoda globally.

Some typical activities that you will support are:

  • Act as a lead copywriter for the Brand team’s in-house agency. Responsible for writing/editing video scripts, social media captions, storyboarding, event brand guidelines, event banners, naming, copy for stickers, and company swag
  • In charge of social media captions and ideating social media posts according to project/campaign guidelines
  • Contribute to Agoda product naming and be a guardian of the brand’s tone of voice
  • Assist with writing and editing ad hoc projects, including presentations
  • Proactively sharing ideas and pitching creatively to the Brand team and senior managements

What you’ll need to succeed: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or relevant fields
  • Experience in copywriting with a proven portfolio of relevant works
  • Ability to write in native-level of the English language
  • Experience in writing short-form marketing copy e.g. social media captions, ads copy, etc.
  • Knowledge of social media and brand voice trends, with the ability to write in Agoda’s own brand voice
  • Professional editing experience, preferably AP style
  • Proficiency in both US and UK English spelling, vocabulary, and idioms
  • Experience in G-Suite and Microsoft Office tools (Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides, Excel, Word, PPT)
  • Great intuition and flexibility. You will deliver writing pieces to various teams across Agoda with a growth mindset effort

It’s great if you have: 

  • Experience in using Asana, Figma, and Adobe InDesign editing is a plus
