Rocket Travel by Agoda (RTA) is looking for a customer-obsessed Experience Product Designer to join our growing international design team. You’ll be a key member in supporting our B2B white-label products in the Asian market, helping our enterprise partners design and roll out their travel platforms. 

In this role, you get to apply your passion for user-centered design across the full travel experience. You’ll work on multiple RTA products; helping our partners’ customers book flights, rental cars, activities, and accommodations, and partner with RTA product and engineering teams based in Bangkok and Chicago. You’ll be a part of a modern UX design practice that places user research at the base of its design process, utilizes rapid prototyping, is mobile-first, and works cross-collaboratively with other disciplines.

This role reports locally (in Bangkok) Design Operations, and to the Head of Design for Rocket Travel by Agoda (based in the US) and partners closely with Agoda design systems. You’ll have support from RTA design and product team members based in Bangkok, as well as support from the Agoda design team. Most of the RTA design team is based in the US; however, you will be considered a core RTA design team member.

As an Experience Product Designer at Rocket Travel by Agoda, you will: 

• Work as an end-to-end experience product designer. You’ll execute all aspects of product design; including user research, concept designs, prototyping & user testing, working with design systems, developer handoff, and support business development for our RTA Asian-based enterprise partners and prospects.
• Talk to customers. You’ll get to know our customers through shadowing, interviews, and basic usability tests.
• Present multiple solutions to a problem. You’ll share work and receive feedback from multiple disciplines.
• Be collaborative. You’ll partner with other designers for paired design, but also product owners, engineers, business analysts, data scientists, customer support, and also our partnership teams.
• Excel at communication. You should be proactive about getting answers and closing the loop on outstanding questions, in addition to having the nous and empathy to work with colleagues across different disciplines and international cultures and time zones.

About you:

• You’ve shipped products in the past. We’re looking for someone with experience bringing ideas to life and evolving them. Preferably, you have 2-3 years of experience already working within a product design team.
• You’re familiar with the Human-Centered Design process. You know how to keep the customer at the front and center of each project while balancing the needs of the business and technology.
• You possess a modern product design toolkit. You use design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and Invision (we’re a Figma shop). You have also worked with design systems and component libraries and can work closely with your engineers. 
• You seek feedback. You have a growth mindset, are comfortable soliciting feedback, and are curious to learn from various perspectives.
• You balance exploration with execution. Exploration and execution are both key to building innovative experiences. You understand when it’s time to explore and when it’s time to deliver.
