The Opportunity:

At Payments, Credit Risk and Collections (“PCRC”) in Finance, we are proud to be the gatekeepers of Agoda’s money. Our job is three-fold; enable smooth payments from and to partners, help decide who Agoda should advance money to and how to collect what we are owed. As part of this, PCRC manages commercial partnerships with fintech players, manages operational aspects of payouts, assesses and manages Agoda’s counterparty credit risk and collects payments and tax invoices for select products globally.

PCRC function is looking for a Senior Credit Lead to work on various aspects of credit analysis including but not limited to performing counterparty risk analysis on B2B partners using financial statement analysis, performing portfolio credit analysis across a range of counterparties, building and maintaining expected loss and other models, helping business teams construct risk and exposure frameworks and acting as a subject matter expert for all things related to credit risk within the organization.

In this Role, you'll get to: 

• Assess credit and counterparty risk on hotels, airlines, travel distributors, fintech and a host of other counterparties in the travel, hospitality and tech space.
• Perform portfolio credit analysis using various risk analysis methodologies.
• Build and maintain expected loss and other models for various business requirements.
• Liaise and lead relationships with various risk partners including credit rating agencies, KYC providers, insurance companies, brokers, banks and other financial counterparties who can provide potential solutions.
• Lead Agoda’s credit mitigation strategy in a business-friendly manner by protecting the company’s downside while balancing commercial requirements.
• Build dashboards for monitoring exposures and tracking key metrics.
• Provide servicing to internal and external stakeholders regarding credit risk issues and insights.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

What you'll Need to Succeed:

• Understanding of credit risk analysis, financial statements, risk modelling, VAR.
• Strong excel skills.
• Ability to present to management, be a self-starter and lead discussions with several stakeholders to take initiatives from start to finish.
• Creative mindset to think out of the box and ability to quickly understand business models and new products, specifically from a risk perspective.
• Exhibit proactive approach and personal ownership. Must be result oriented and have the ability to work under pressure under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
• Assist in special projects and ad-hoc assignments, upon request.
• Demonstrate great organizational skills, attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make decisions based on logical reasoning.

It's Great if you have:

• 3-4 years of work experience in credit risk, ideally within a tech environment and with BI skills to match.
• Aptitude to quickly learn about online travel sector and other associated business models of our partners.
• Microsoft Office experience, specifically Excel skills and the ability to manage large data sets. SQL and dashboarding skills
• Ability to work and thrive in an exciting, fast paced, global and multicultural environment in a result-oriented manner with a desire to learn, grow and adapt.
