Atlassian is continuing to hire with all interviewing and on-boarding done virtually due to COVID-19. Deal Desk Analysts play a pivotal role in the Field and Sales Operations team at Atlassian. They are responsible for owning and managing the quote and contract creation process for our complex transactions from inception to booking.

We are currently looking for our first Deal Desk Analyst in Europe. You will strategically partner with the Field Sales teams to structure proposals, quotations, and contracts that mutually benefit both our external customers and our internal cross-functional teams.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Develop a strong understanding of all Atlassian entities, our business model, and product offerings
  • Serve as the point of contact and subject matter expert on Atlassian business, operation, and revenue policies for ad hoc troubleshooting of deal issues
  • Generate and manage approvals of negotiated contracts (MSAs, ELAs, etc) as requested by the Strategic Field Sales team
  • Own the end to end Quote to Cash process from quoting to contracting to provision and invoicing for all Atlassian products including M&A products
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Revenue Accounting and Legal to review or address revenue recognition concerns for non-standard deals
  • Perform month-end and quarter-end Deal Desk closing activities across all Atlassian entities to ensure completeness and accuracy of contract packages
  • Be responsible for order management activities and creating sales orders in the ERP/Billing system
  • Work closely with Accounts Receivable and Billing team to assist with billing and collection requirements
  • Lead and take initiative in driving process improvements and streamline current procedures
  • On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, Economics, or another related area
  • Several years of experience in a similar position such as Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Order Management, or Finance
  • Experience working with Direct, Channel, and Partner sales ecosystems
  • Good understanding of Software Revenue Recognition
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Great communication skills in English, written and spoken
  • A strong sense of urgency
  • It's great, but not required, if you have:

  • Experience with SFDC and NetSuite
  • Fluency in German or French
