Job description

Atlassian is looking for a Product Marketing leader to join the Jira Software team. Software is changing the way every company and team operates. In this role you'll have an opportunity to directly impact the growth of the #1 software development tool in the world through seven figure marketing campaigns, new product and feature launches, and a sharp eye for unexplored growth opportunities that we haven't capitalized on yet. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, this role will be at the forefront of Atlassian's product marketing team and invested in high visibility work that will be consumed by millions of active users. This is a career defining opportunity to work on a product that is known by every software engineer in the world.


What you'll do:

  • Plan and manage product launches that will drive trials, create buzz, and grow our brand
  • Work with internal and external agencies to design and execute high visibility campaigns that drive new interest in our products and accelerate customer growth
  • Work closely with Product Management, Development, and other Marketing team members to craft product positioning and messaging
  • Generate high quality content for prospects, evaluators and channel partners including: landing pages, tutorials, videos, ad copy, and blogs
  • Propose, test and implement improvements to increase conversion rate at every stage of the sales funnel
  • Keep a vigilant eye on the software development market for problems and market opportunities
  • Engage in customer research and complete competitive intelligence reports that can be leveraged to derive the the perfect messaging
  • What you bring:

  • Experience: 7-10 years of Product Marketing, Digital Strategy, and/or Campaign Management experience in a high growth software company - ideally focused on defining value propositions and product messaging
  • Entrepreneurial Zeal: From leading a creative brainstorm to staying up on the newest growth hacking techniques, the ability to think outside the box and tackle problems you haven't encountered before is a must
  • Software Chops: Experience working closely with, or as an embedded team member of, a software development team - preferably a team that actively practiced Agile methodologies
  • Charisma: You will need to influence cross-functional teams and get them excited about and invested in your projects and campaigns
  • Decision Making Ability: Deftness in prioritizing among competing opportunities, balancing customer needs with business priorities, and articulating the rationale behind decisions to other stakeholders
