- Work as a R&D Technician building Aurora’s self-driving technology - this Includes vehicle build, sub-assembly, PCBA solder/rework, and harness build/assembly.
- Candidates must possess excellent documentation practices.
- Work closely with Hardware Engineering and associated teams.
- Follow safety standards and meet internal deadlines.
- Work with limited oversight.
- Seek continuing education and development opportunities.
- Strong electrical skills, ability to read wiring schematics and layouts, redline drawings, and assemble wiring harnesses
- Strong background in electrical wiring, harness building, and surface-mount circuit board assembly.
- Strong understanding of electrical tools and equipment; crimpers, dies, multimeter, presses, connectors, contacts, wire gauges/types, soldering, microscope, etc.
- Exceptional craftsmanship with the ability to pin out and quality test harnesses/circuit boards
- Minimum 5 years of direct experience in ESD R&D and prototyping spaces
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, PLM, CAD, and various other software tools
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve, diagnose, analyze and isolate problems
- Proficiency with Windows and Google productivity Suite - specifically Sheets
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- A can-do customer service attitude with the ability to multitask under pressure in an unstructured environment
- IPC training and certification in the following: IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-7711/7721
- Certification and training in GD&T
The hourly range for this position is $36.50-$54.75 per hour. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
